Great to see the rescued bears being cared for with a good amount of space and an interesting environment to live in. No entry charge and we were happy to make a donation. Also of interest is the artwork around the site, made by volunteers...More

We were recommended to visit the Bear Sanctuary by some locals and we’re glad we did. The park is run by volunteers who look after Croatian bears that are unable to be released back into the wild due to being rescued from injury &/or captivity....More

This refugee place for orphaned bears is worth the trip to it. We saw 3 younger bears and 4 older bears. The guide Gloria was extremely helpful and friendly, she gave us a lot of information about the refugee camp and the bears.

It is not easy to find, but well worth the effort. It was very quiet when I visited so I was able to spent time watching the beats. The volunteers I met were very knowledgeable and spoke good English.

Normal shoes are fine if you will be driving to the sanctuary as its quite small. However if you are walking to the sanctuary maybe wear something comfortable because the sanctuary is in the middle of the countryside.
