Nature reserve, Dune and Forest

The best place in Noord Holland to go biking and hiking and be with nature. The sand dunes and the campsites too can be another place to enjoy and access its natural diversity.

Nice information center to get to know more about this nature reserve.

For shadier days

Take a stroll through the woods and sand hills of Schoorl. Nice nature and landscape. You can even learn something at the visitors center or just have a coffee while the kids run a round.

Nice information centre in impressive nature reserve

The information centre is very useful when planning to hike or bike through the Schoorlse Duinen nature reserve. The reserve itself consists of a large area of sand dunes, forest and heath fields between the town of Schoorl in the east and the beaches on the western side. One can easily spend multiple days exploring this vast and impressive piece of natural Holland.

Our favorite dunes and forest in the NL

We are regulars of the dunes and forest as we live close by. The landscape is awesome any season of the year, especially spring and autumn. Highly recommendable to every nature lover.

SCHOORL NATURE RESERVE

The nature reserve at Schoorl offers vast forest,the highest dunes in the Netherlands and a large beach.
I like the very old church of the old village of Schoorl; a nice area to explore after a bike tour or walk in the nature reserve.

Compass and map route walk made no sense

Very nice place, but I wouldn't do a compass and map route, because that didn't make sense for 22.50. Most expensive. You better walk yourself. Furthermore, nature is of course very beautiful.
