Beautiful and diverse

We completed the 10km Noordsee route starting at Buitencentrum Schoorlse duinen. Fantastic and varied walk through woods, heath, dunes and beach. A bit heavy going due to walking on sand most of the time. Wish we'd visited a couple of weeks earlier when the heather was in bloom.

Dunes!

A wonderfully curated wilderness. Very nice to ramble in the dunes, being able to break out of lock-down and inhale some fresh air!

Beautiful!

We went on a sunny, brisk day in March. It was beautiful and wild and not crowded at all. We wandered around the dunes and spent time on the beach. Gorgeous!

I feel cheated. I forgot to feed the parking meter and paid 75.10 for parking incorrectly. It's my own fault, no question, but if I want to think and act in such a petty-bourgeois way, I might as well stay in Germany. At least it's cheaper there. I certainly don't feel welcome.
