Nice photo shot of lovely bridge. You can walk over it too, quite steep and cobbled path but worth doing. Fishermen about off the opposite bridge and sometimes from under the Roman Bridge after climbing round!

We passed this old Roman bridge as we drove into Cangas De Onis, so we were interested to see if we could get a closer look. Indeed we could! The bridge is open for people to walk across. It is a bit steep, though!

Third visit at this location and we Just don’t get tired of it. The cristal river that flows under the bridge coupled with the history associated with the bridge we can’t get enough.

I know. It's a bridge. But you can help feel the history as you walk across. You might be lucky like we were and have a bagpiper serenade you as you cross! Be forewarned, the surface of the bridge can be quite bumpy so take...More

As well as being a good looking old bridge, it is fantastic that people can still walk over it (no doubt en-masse in high season!). The perfect view is from the main road with the river, woods and distant mountains visible through the arch. Lovely.

So pleased we went here, the roman bridge is stunning, beautiful setting with fantastic views of the fast flowing river and mountains in the background. The town also is very pleasant, many areas pedestrianised and full of shops, some touristy, bars, restaurants, cafes etc. We...More

It amazes me every time how great builders people where about a 1000 years ago. Beautiful bridge, pretty big. But a bit of a touristy place.
