Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent bars, restaurants and excursions running out of the harbour.

Plenty too do around harbour. Water activities, restaurants, pubs and shops.Stunning views from the wall looking out too the ocean and back in to the old town. Most of the restaurant's are good but can be pricey. Locals very friendly and welcoming.

There is a fair in the old town harbour currently. It came a couple of days ago, I have been told it stays for about 2 weeks. We caught the tail end of it last year when we came the first week in August.

Hi. There are no theme parks but there are a couple of small water parks on the Island. - u would need to be brave to use these in the winter months tho! There is a submarine trip that may appeal to them?
