Very easy walk to the look out point over the ocean, then stairs down to a little sandy cove beach. There was even a beautiful waterfall the disappeared into the sand halfway to the ocean.

An easy walk enjoyed by all. The sign says 15 minutes, but I think it took less. Good to have a break from the car.

Delightful walk through exotic jungle and vegetation to beach. Great fun to watch the rollers coming in (swimming not allowed due to rip tides and undercurrents) and contrast that with the small waterfall dropping from the vegetation above.

We stopped here for a lunch break. Great short walk through native NZ bush and then an amazing cove with big waves breaking.

From our chalet at Te Nikau, this was a 20 min walk through a lush green forest to the beach. Closer to the beach we heard the many birds cooing and cawing and of course the water crashing towards the shore. When we got to...More
