Galaxidi is a historic ship-building town that had an important role in Greek Independence from Ottoman rule. The Maritime Museum in Galaxidi offers visitors an excellent way to experience the history of the town.

The museum tells the story of Galaxidi, which despite its long history is not that interesting. Most of information was about its naval history but there were some exhibits older than 3000 years old
