Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing activity for the families with a children and not only for them. It was outstanding experience which you can access easily, even with the children starting from 3 years old. If would like to make a round trip - it will be nearly 8 kilometers. Just les Gorges - less than 3.

We did this walk/climb with our very active three year old who loved the climbing. This is a relatively easy walk but requires good walking shoes and clothes as it's a lot of flat bits followed by steep climb up slippery boulders. For those up to the challenge, it does NOT disappoint!

No publicity. Not much signage and a run down car park but the walk ( sometimes climbing up and over some rocks) is an absolutely fantastic experience. Not sure what it's like when it's wet as this was August and probably not for the claustrophobic but not difficult for young and old. If you do the loop back to Merindol be aware that their in no signposting at the very top and you need to take the right hand turn in the road not the left where there is simply no indication of where to go. I did it with a fit 74 year old Grandad and my 8 year old son and the loop was about 15 kms and took three hours but you can just go up the Gorge and back down in an hour. Someone said it was closed but no indication of that on our trip.

Though not as impressive as the Gorges du Verdon, walking in the 'Gorges de Regalon' is an event for young and old! The two rocks in between which water has made its path through the ages are sometimes less than a meter apart, and you will have to climb some challenging boulders (especially when wet!)
Mind that this hike is only accesible in summer as in winter and spring there may be too much water in it.

Unfortunately the gorge was closed due to an earthquake but we still managed to see part of the gorge and the diversion had more great scenery.
Would recommend doing before June as it was very hot

Gorges de Regalon itself is thrilling. You walk in a narrow void within a rock. If Gorges du Verdon provides you an impression of great depths, In Regalon you are the subject yourself, squeezed inside the rock.

Please continue the 8 km Yellow trail that continues from the top of the gorge. It will give you a true view of the Petit Luberon that you cannot see within the gorge. It folds you through a pass back to the parking of the Regalon. Great views.

Lovely hike and really fun ruins to explore. Beautiful view from the top. Whole family loved it. A little scary at times with the little ones, keep a close eye. May be too much for really small ones though ours did fine.

Don't miss this when you are in the neighbourhood. It is a very impressive walk through a very narrow canyaon. We made a long hike beforte entering the canyon, but you can limit it to a walk through the canyon itself

A wonderful but fairly challenging walk (well, if you're unfit like me) to the Gorge, but a marvelllous naturual environment; stunning.
