The seaside promenade is the place to take a nice sunset or sunrise stroll. It was not possible to swim as the sea was dangerous and in any case the front is all large rocks. The only downside is the area near the food vendors...More

This is a 2 km stretch along the beach..... Lots of rocks .... Where the traffic is low, but at night it transforms as traffic is blocked off from 6 pm. A pleasant walk, particularly with the breeze of the ocean. The statue of Gandhi...More

The place is 1.5 kms long walk along the seaside. It is very clean and maintained properly. The no vehicle timing in this place from 6 pm to 7 am add to the beauty of this place

Its a wonderful place for an evening walk. Also, sitting on the beach in the evening breeze is a wonderful experience. The crowds in the evening are crazy, so look out for a spot early on..

The place to come in the evening - full of Indian tourist and really nice to relax. Nearby old Petanque players enjoyed their game - mediterrenean feelings guaranteed.

The promenade is Pondicherry's best landmark and is about 2km long. It provides a pleasant seaside walk with ocasional cafe stops along the way. If you end at the southern end then you will be in the French Colony area which is pleasant.

Hi...You can visit pondy and do the site seeing on the same day but if you want to spend more time on each visiting point then you won't be covering all the spots. Plan accordingly.
