A spaceship of a building, this modern design contrasts with its content;the early history of the first people on the Island - which predates Stonehenge.
Interesting displays, that could benefit from more of an explanation. We particularly liked the reconstruction, and design of the original...More
Discovered this ultra-modern museum while strolling about on Sunday morning. Very well designed and tells the historical story of La Palma extremely well in panels which have English text. Just the right amount..no overload. This is complemented by physical examples of caves, etc. If you...More
The archaeological museum housed in a modern building is in Los Llanos within walking distance from the old part of the town. 4 euros entrance fee gives you access to the Museo Insular (worth a visit) in Santa Cruz as well. No charge for seniors...More
Good displays and very informative. Learned a lot about the geology and formation of the island, together with the early history of the people. Beautiful simple building that complements the displays. Lots still to learn, would definitely visit again.
There is a lot of information and artefacts in a small space.
All the information is clear, concise and easy to understand.
Even I didn't get bored or muddled!
The admission ticket also gives entry to the Museo Insular in Santa Cruz.

This modern museum takes you through the geological history of La Palma. Nicely presented by maps, text (spanish, german and english), models, videos and archeological findings. We can recommend a visit. For the price of 4 € you can also visit museo insular I Santa...More
