Not an easy access but worth it. Some pools quite deep so be careful with the younger ones. Can bring a float or two. May need gloves to avoid the splinters when scrambling across fallen logs or holding on to branches on steep descend.
Taking all that effort to get there to see a small pond of stagnant water. We did not see the beauty of the spot. Facilities good but parking limited. The rock pools around mount tambourine are superior. Truly don't bother.
A wonderful place to relax and have a swim (in the warmer months). There is a cafe across the road which is great it does not intrude into the peace and tranquility of the area. Young children would need to be well supervised.
Have heard rave reviews about this place but it didn't match the hype. Water looked dirty which is disappointing given the clarity of water at the beach & in the creeks.

After looking at free things to do on the gold coast this was a recommendation , we would have to say we were a little disappointed , it wasn't what the photos looked anything like.

Great spot to visit particularly on a hot day. This is a pretty drive deep into the Currumbin valley. The trip does seem quite long taking approximately 40 minutes to reach the destination on winding roads,but well worth the trip. Beautiful rainforest walk as well...More
A great place to stop for a picnic and swim. We stopped after visiting Cougal Falls further up the road. We had a coffee at the little coffee shop across the road. Relaxing place to spend some time at.
The start of our GC holiday started here. The local servo guy told us about it. Glad we went , did the beautiful walk, and watched people swim in the rockpools. Amazing waterfall also. At the end of the trail, is a piece of Aussie...More
