Having been to national parks and natural areas in Europe, I find the scenery here to be nothing special. It just didn’t give me the ‘wow’ factor. Not to mention the time and effort taken to travel here. I could have done something else.
On the way up to the lookout you get used to the drops on both the sides of the road.
But as you walk down the ancient forest path to the lookout you get glimpses of blue nothingness through the gloomy surrounds. Great little walk....More
The walk to the look out point was not too strenuous and definitely worth the effort for the view at the end.

Once you've driven up to the carpark, it's a short (about) 7 minute walk to the lookout. It was really surreal and being so high up, it was really quiet and peaceful. Good place to just gawk at natural beauty.
The Antarctic trees 50m away were interesting but the lookout had more hype than view. Yes it’s a nice expansive view but there are not major mountain peaks nor cliff faces nor waterfalls. I’d suggest the lookout at Python Rock trail in Lamington instead.
