Wow. This place is breath-taking. Such an unusual historic Christian building as it hasn't been ruined by the Victorians, it retains a host of ancient features and suggests the glory of monasteries before the Reformation, and the changing nature of Christian thought in later centuries....More

We were a gardening club and we had lunch. We all enjoyed the garden and several members of our group commented how good the lunch was and how well we were looked after.

Interesting site to visit, very different. Very peaceful and serene with some really interesting wall paintings found underneath the paintwork. A must see if you like old churches.

The working remains of an old abbey, now used as a parish church. High ceilings with superb support columns with old wall paintings, alongside superb stained glass windows. A restful and lovely place with much history in gorgeous surroundings.

There was a real sense of history here. The setting is stunning and the fact that worship still takes place here is inspiring.

Lovely church with unusual architecture and history set in the golden valley. Well worth booking a guide too as very helpful and knowledgeable about the monastery that was there in the past.
