On the way to Hanmer and spotted terrace edge. First discovered their wines a number of years ago and took a big liking to their liquid geography white wine. So decided to stop and have a tasting. It turned into also having a yummy braised beef focasica bread to tie and using a number of their wine varieties. Lovely host. Warm and friendly. Definately recommend.

All 7 wines we tasted were delicious (we limited ourselves to buying 3 bottles) and the olive oil beautiful (bought 1 bottle) with the kalamata olives the best yet (yep, we bought a jar of those, too!) Their gourmet toasties were the perfect accompaniment. We joined their wine club on the spot. Highly recommended 👌

A beautiful small family run winery. They were very welcoming of our young kids too. We had a great tasting while overlooking the valley, and left with both wine and olive oil. Highly recommended as an off the beaten path stop.

After a month traveling in caravans from the Seattle area, and after researching local wineries, we decided to head to the Terrace Edge. The food and wine pairing was a highlight of our trip. Jill was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed their delicious wines.

Wonderful tasting, family vibe and beautiful surrounding views.

Would highly recommend. I was here for a field trip and very much enjoyed all the wines, the albarino and Sarah were especially good.

If you are looking for a winery in the area, this is definitely the one!!

Originally this was not part of our wine tour, but managed to add it on. And well worth it as well
Jill met us, told us the history and how the wines were made, which added to all of our knowledge.
Then the tasting, not all to my taste but the Pinot Gris and Reisling were outstanding, well I had to buy a case !!

Terrace Edge is a small boutique winery in the Waipara wine regions and is definitely worth a visit. I think most of the wines that we tasted on the day had won awards which speaks much about the quality. I like all of their wines but I think my favourite is the Syrah. If you get a chance try their Olives and Olive Oils as well. They are always really helpful and friendly as well.

Got to know of this place while at Riccarton weekend markets. This vineyard is a little hidden but has a lovely terrace on the edge to look over as you enjoy your wine. The lady owner was very friendly. My favourite was the liquid geography Riesling, named by her son. I found it wittty and very apt. She cut up bread for us to dip in her olive oil which they sell and it was so refreshing. One of the better tasting olive oil I've tasted. Worth dropping by if you are in Waipara. Lovely, lovely visit.
