It is wonderful to know that Dennis was able to help you learn more wine and the processes involved. There is in fact much to learn and our cellar door team all thoroughly enjoy passing on their knowledge to our customers. Enjoy the remainder of...More

Popped in to enjoy the wine tasting. We were treated rudely and laughed at on one occasion when remarking about the wine. The wine itself was enjoyable however the snooty atmosphere left a sour taste. I don’t think this is a reflection of the premises...More

We've sampled many and we can honestly say that the house platter is the best vineyard platter we've ever had. Lovely wine, too. Great setting and beautifully warm.

We had lunch here a few weeks ago. I knew we were in trouble when I read the menu. Despite this being a wine region, the pickings for lunch & dinner are slim. We knew we would have difficulty finding somewhere else, though in retrospect,...More

Waipara Hills has one of the largest tasting rooms in the area and offers a smooth tasting experience similar to that in Napa Valley - they offer enough varieties of the same grape to have a horizontal tasting, and doesn't rush you or get stingy...More

We stopped for a short break and decided to have breakfast there. Just a small meal can be a delight: the poached egg was fresh and tasty, the sausage spicy, the bacon delicious and the hash brown crispy. Everything was well made.
