What an incredible place just one hour from Christchurch!! Opuke pools & spas is the perfect place to spend solo or with your loved ones. It has the view of beautiful southern alps and all lowered by the solar energy (love their commitment to sustainability). they have kids and adult's pool, private tubs, pool bar and beautiful spa. you could even have a floating breakfast here! if you came over in winter you could also visit Mt Hutt which is a ski field.

A must do was a massive highlight of our trip and the service was fabulous! Maggie the front desk attendant went out of her way to make sure our time at Opuke was perfect. Make sure to take a dip in the cold tub inbetween your solar tub makes you feel alive! We went for the private solar tub and would reccomend this to couples as the view was spectacular and food and drink service was great! You will miss out on an amazing experience if you don't go here, if your on the fence about going just do it so worth it!

Visited Methven for a girls weekend away. Thinking we’ll make it a yearly trip as the pools were amazing. First visit and the staff at the front were helpful about explaining how it works and where to go. Vegan balls were so delicious we had them both nights. Lovely staff working at the bar. A wonderful evening had by all.

We ventured to Methven for a kid free weekend. Booked into Opuke for the 8-10pm session in the tranquility adults only pools. When booking we were a little put off by the cost. The other pool was half the price and we found deals on GrabOne for that pool also, however, the swim up bar was too hard to pass up. When we arrived it was raining, in fact it rained the whole 2 hours. The place was absolutely beautiful! We were given towels and robes and directed to the tranquility changing rooms and pool area. No expense had been spared. It felt like luxury. Entering the pools in the dark of night was very romantic. The rain was not an issue at all, in fact it added to the great experience. Seeing the star would have been great too though. The bar had a limit of 2 alcoholic drinks which was fair although a cocktail would have completely topped the experience off. I have been to many hot pools in NZ and this was the best by far.

outstanding place. We booked 5.30 to 7.30 pm and it was like disneyland with all the well placed lights. Pool heat was perfection/ ordered good and drink but felt a bit odd eating in the hot tub! Staff all excellent- changing rooms immaculate and caused a lot of conversation! We need one in Auckland- specifically my back yard. well done. A great tourist: local place which we hope does well in the future. Definitely worth a side trip to Methven just for this place

Truly fabulous. Received a gift voucher for two and wasn't sure what to expect. Staff were incredible, prices a the food/beverage bar were reasonable, the pools themselves were incredibly well thought out. Just superb. My only slight hesitation would be that it's quite pricey, but as a treat it's a fantastic idea.

Having never visited this facility before - It was an experience to be had. Every aspect of Customer Focus was provided to us, and we had a marvelous time. Every care was taken to make sure that attendance at the Bar was plain sailing, and really was impressed with the "Host Responsibility" for all. Will go back, when in area next.

Booked and recommend the 18+ Tranquillity option. The Tranquillity option is an adult area with a “swim up” bar for adults only. Our relaxing experience started with entering modern warm changing rooms with an electronic locker operated from a wrist band. You can walk from the changing rooms to the pools undercover. We were also impressed that pool side baskets are offered to place your supplied pool robe and towel in. The pools were a pleasant temperature on a cold day. Enjoyed experience of buying an alcoholic drink and food and sit on underwater stools to enjoy a nice lunch. A number of areas one can go and have relaxing time in the water. Would suggest some mindful music to relax even more. Staff were friendly an helpful. We will be going back.

An amazing experience. We booked the couples solar pool and really felt like we got special treatment. The views are amazing and I highly recommend this if your looking to de-stress and forget all your troubles. We tried out the tranquility pools and the cave was very cool!
