Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Entry by donation, an interesting collection of social history. I enjoyed opening the drawers in the “main room” with titles such as children’s toys, hair, and especially white feather.

The extension seems to be in a state of rework, a great section on barkers, a hugely potential exhibit about a shop with building material around it and two half completed areas (one about logging) which was weird.

No staff seemed on duty but I could hear people in a side room talking about admin issues. I was in and out without being acknowledged, which was fine by me

I went to this museum as I particularly wanted to see the Barker's display (having just started Michaels Barker's book "Barker's of Geraldine: 50 Years Preserved" but I also enjoyed the displays about the changes in Geraldine over the years, and early surveys and pastoral leases.
This is a really nice little museum - compact, informative and interesting. The lady who was at the desk was very helpful and welcoming. An excellent way to spend a little time when the weather wasn't very nice,

A little small museum in a little town. There is a very nice museum caretaker, he is more than happy to explain the history of the museum. No entrance fee, donation is advisable.
