We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A relaxing look around a spacious and well laid out shop with lots of interesting goods. As expected, largely for the tourist market and priced accordingly, but with a couple of good bargains included. Clean toilets and a care in the same building.

You can buy just about anything from Pau shell to jade, clothing to caps, NZ jewellery, possum/merino etc. There is an information centre and a Bureau de change, plus public toilets and a well supplied cafe, all in the one facility. There is plenty of parking, even for buses and camper vans.

Easy to spot in the centre of town by the lovely big silo as the entrance. Huge souvenir shop with a cafe and clean rest rooms. Many tourist hand outs for the region.

We were extremely rushed for time, so only had a few minutes to grab a sandwich or pie to go. The selection is about what you'd expect. But the staff were very quick and friendly. Turns out the cashier was from Vancouver!! Small world!

Faultless customer service. Most informative with useful detail we hadn't even thought to ask about. Staff could not have been more helpful.

The staff at the visitor centre were very helpful. They provided maps and suggestions about places to go on our drive South. Well worth a visit.

The lady was so helpful giving us lots of ideas of what we could do as we traveled north on the Inland Scenic Route.
The information centre has quite a large cafe as well as a nice country store with reasonably priced clothes and souvenirs. I bought a great t-shirt with Maori design for only $20.

One place for all, as an Information Centre and coach booking office with free Wifi, also as a souvenir shop with plenty of merchandise, but also for cafe with toilet facility, good. Location at the intersection of the main road, easy to find. We took a nice short break in this place.

Very friendly, cheap and tasty cafe. When they realised they'd forgotten one of our orders they gave us free hot chocolate - delicious
