Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stunning scenery, entertaining and beautiful sculptures, a perfect picnic spot...wonderful. Well worth the entry fee which includes a hot drink and the opportunity to chat to the charming and talented artist who created this oasis.

Amazing place! Unbelievable the work that has gone into creating this place. Raymond has created a beautiful place to be, to walk, to picnic and to see creative talent at work, well done. Great for kids too.
Really worth a visit.

Set in a beautiful location, the actual sculpture park was a little underwhelming.

Yes there are a few nicely done sculptures, but really after walking around for 15 minutes that’s pretty much it.

The $16 cost per person is a bit over the top for what you actually get.

These sculptures are phenomenal. It is a bit mindboggling what Raymond has done with iron - the colors and shapes are amazing. And it's surrounded by gorgeous kiwi scenery
Just the trip there is worth it let alone the extraordinary creativy in the art work and garden. Prepare to be socked in the eye by beauty and kicked up the bum by a clockwork gumboot!
Thoroughly recommended.

Wasn’t sure on what to expect with making the trip all the way out to Iron Ridge but am so happy that we did and highly recommend it.

$16 for adults and free for under 16 years.

The old quarry has been turned into an artist’s sculpture gallery.

Wonderful sculptures made out or iron and sandstone.

There are a few interactive ones which are quite fun and amusing.

There is a trampoline and a playhouse with a firemans pole for the kids there, which ours loved.

Had a slight hill walk which you can head up for a view over the valley and quarry. Just lovely.

The walk isn’t too hectic. A mountain buggy push chair would be okay but not a wheelchair.

Lots of picnic tables there for you to enjoy.

There is complimentary tea and coffee which was such a lovely touch.

The artist/host is most welcoming, friendly, hospitably and accommodating.

Just great thank you and was so pleased we visited it. A lovely day trip.

What a fantastic place. The minute we arrived we received a friendly welcome from Raymond. He's obviously very passionate about his work, he should be because it's amazing. He invited us to have a leisurely look around the sculptures and help ourselves to complimentary tea and coffee. I thought $16 per person (free under 16) was really good value. We'll definitely be going back in the summer & taking a picnic too

Great place to visit if you are around the Waipara Valley. Steel and limestone sculptures dotted around the old lime quarry with plantings of mainly native shrubs and trees. Was interesting talking to Raymond about the development of the place. Good coffee too. Will try to get back there in summer.

We were underwhelmed really.
Nice location with great views but for $16ea to see a handful of pieces that are for sale was a bit steep.
We have seen a lot of similar displays around the country and this one doesn't really cut it yet.
