A nice walk and a credit to the team who manage it. A great view of the Southern Wairarapa is the reward at the top, There are several tack options and a longer walk is available if you go past the first car park and drive on to the second. The brow track is a better option if you have younger children or not good on steeper tracks.

Terrific walk not far from Carterton. Well done Forest and Bird for maintaining easy to walk tracks wth a fantastic lookout over the Wairarapa.

This is a very well maintained and interesting walk. There is a good variety of plant life and scenery and a stunning lookout over the Wairarapa at the top of the walk. Part way around there is a nice picnic area so next time we will take a picnic. Plenty of bird song and spotted tui and fantails

An interesting not to strenuous bush walk seeing the effort made to regenerate bush back to it's original state with some good views down the Wairarapa valley from different points.

What a brilliant discovery this was. The quality of the tracks are excellent, the lookout is brilliant, and this is a damn good hour long walk. Forest & Bird has done a wonderful job with this little patch of bush, and the birdlife here is amazing.

Close to town this well managed reserve is a joy to visit. There is a good choice of walks with seats to admire the views. 2 access points with parking. It is well sign posted from the time.

Great walk through the local bush. Tracks range from steep to undulating through and under a wonderful tree canopy. Two entrances so you can pick whether or not you want to start steep or start easy. Loved the wooden boardwalk and that the trees are named so we were able to learn about the different native bush. The birdsong is awesome!

A little gem in the middle of Wairarapa farmland, the Fencham Reserve offers a bush walk with a couple of variations so you can mix it up on return visits. Some pleasant views of the hills and farmland, and some lovely trees and birdsong. Pick a nice day though, as it can be rather cold if it's windy.

As a bush walk so close to town, so well maintained by the volunteers, with a choice of walks from the simplest to the more testing & all so interesting without having to retrace your steps. The view from the top is a joy to behold & the seat most welcoming.
Don't forget to check the weta house.
I found that by driving a bit further & coming in the back way from Cobden Rd was a nicer way to start the walk than going in off Belvadere Rd.
I have done this walk solo & with adventure trips with the local pre-school (find their dinosaur)
