In the midst of our vacation, we as a group of friends wanted to do something different and The Alpaca Place provided us that. The entire experience was refreshing and our kids learned a new word, Alpaca. Thank you, great work guys.

Very educational Liz passed on her vast knowledge of the history of Alpacas in their original countries and importation into NZ. We enjoyed spending time with the animals, feeding them, taking them for a walk and watching their interaction.

Interesting, informative tour by Liz and it was really great that Cheryl took photos of us and loaded up on Facebook as we were driving back to Masterton - impressive service at no extra cost. Especially loved walking the Alpacas and having a wee cuddle. Thanks so much - Debbie, Martin and Claire (Lower Hutt)

Great Place to visit as different, Liz and Cheryl were very knowledgeable about the Alpaca's and some beautiful items for sale. Would recommend for anyone to do this. Very cute animals.

The lovely lady hosts are very passionate in their Alpaca history and care. They shared a lot of very interesting information and took us on a tour of their farm where we got to feed and walk some super adorable alpacas. It's not a big attractions - so don't expect shiny signboards and gimmicky touristy things to purchase. Lovely down-to-earth... More

We're so glad you picked up on the fact that we are a real alpaca farm who welcomes visitors to see alpacas in their home environment, rather than a tourist attraction that features a few alpacas. Our alpacas are very used to greeting visitors to their home and because they are relaxed about it all our guests see them at... More

Wonderful! We very much appreciate your recommendation to prospective visitors to our farm wanting to interact with our lovely alpacas. Visitors should note that these are guided tours, twice daily, and booking is required. Thanks so much for your comment "fun and informative" and your 5/5 rating. We hope you'll come again some time. A highly informative tour, which was amazing! It was super cool to learn about the history of alpacas in New Zealand and the lovely host was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have loved to be able to pat more alpacas but of course it was understandable that the animals were very flighty and that wasn't encouraged. Thanks!

Thanks so much for reviewing the time you spent with us and our alpacas. It was great to have you here - you obviously picked up on the fact that we love our alpacas and enjoy talking about them. I would like to clarify that the reason we discouraged you petting the farm animals is simply for that reason -... More
