Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We called beforehand to arrange a time to visit - I’d highly recommend this as it’s not a full-time museum. Francis couldn’t have been more welcoming. We enjoyed seeing his fantastic car collection and he took plenty of time to show us around. His collection of old tools and car memorabilia were just as impressive. Even the buildings add their own ambience to the experience.

We were looking for something to do on a rainy day in Masterton and this place did not disappoint. It is a fascinating collection and the owner is very knowledgeable about the origins of the cars.
Best to call ahead as it isn't open every day. He opened up for us especially which was a lovely thing to do.

This is a "real old" car museum housed in 2 sheds - vintage cars galore, authentically presented with models in period clothes and memorabilia from the early 1900s. The owner has some interesting tales to tell of how he acquired some of the cars. Amazing trip back in history. One of the best car museums we have seen.

The website said it was open but when we arrived they obviously had no interest in us seeing the place. The price went from a small fee to $10 each then to $15 each and then couldn't find the key to let us in. Weirdly this was the second time we had tried to visit - the first time was early in the year and the owner was too tired to open even though once again the website said open.
We won't try again.

I am not a big car fan so went under duress, we phoned before going, lovely lady met us in the driveway of this peaceful property. Her and husband the mechanic showed us around, my husband loved it. Francisand his wife are lovely genuine decent people this couple have saved so many amazing pieces of history. You must go if you have any interest in cars, memorabilia , old 100 year old building they saved and even fashion.

For a non petrol-head this place is a revelation. For a history buff , a delight. The vintage verhicles are so beautifully
renovated, they positively shine. Each car has models inside dressed in the required period costumes. Pointon
has been indulging his passion for years. He loves his cars so much he prefers NOT to go far on Holidays " What would I do on a beach? " He says. Attention to detail is what he is after. GO to this place and be amazed.
