Spectacular scenery, gourmet food and warm rural hospitality – the Tora Coastal Walk is the best-loved privately run walk in New Zealand. This exhilarating three-day walk takes you to private hill-country farms, river valleys, native bush, hilltop ridges and the magnificent Tora coastline – and to complete each day, comfortable and stylish rural accommodation and delicious food, carefully prepared with fresh local ingredients by the people who own and farm the land. The walk includes all accommodation, meals, maps, and access to the track. Your luggage is transported each day, so you don't have to carry it with you. One of the best things about the Tora Coastal Walk is its strictly limited numbers. Only 14 people a day are allowed on the one-way track, leaving you free to walk uninterrupted by two-way traffic. Just 30 minutes from Martinborough Wine Village.

The Tora Walk was a stunning walk showcasing the ruggedness of the lower north island's east coast. Very different to the bush walks I'd previously done, but no less challenging. The track is mostly rugged hill country with tremendous views over farmland and the coast....More

We loved to well catered for walk. Although walking into a brisk Easterly had us working we were enthralled with the Coastal vista and enjoyed the birds and the bush. The hospitality was outstanding.

Not even the torrential rain, hailstones & howling southerly wind hitting us halfway through the first day’s tramp detracted from our group’s overall high rating of this walk. We had heard the food was good ( and it certainly was!) but so was everything else...More

Jim's A Day Out Tour's is just fantastic isn't it! Thanks for your feedback. Great to hear you enjoyed the food - lots of walkers tell us they think they've gained a few pounds instead of losing any after the walk! Regards, The Tora team
