Just went in to kill time before heading out of Whangamata. Interesting selection of art works and other artefacts.

This lovely little gallery is full of fascinating artwork . Most of the paintings come from local artists and The Comomandel, a coastal area on the west coast of the North Island. Although we didn’t buy anything the paintings and jewellery were reasonably priced.

I was relieved to see this little gem reopen under new ownership. The diversity of the artwork is inspiring and features many local artists. Well worth a visit!

This is just an amazing gallery. It may be little in size but punches above its size in quality and diversity of mediums. I could have bought several paintings and the object d’art were of excellent quality. I am still coveting and may have to return - after I have a sort out of my house and have some clear walls and surfaces to put my purchases on!!
