Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very well laid out starting point with easy parking with toilet facilities. The walk is quite steep but the path is excellent and the views at the top are amazing . I would recommend on a hot day to take some water

Well worth the walk up. The first bit is the hardest but after that you can rest at different spots. If you have time, take the track half way up that brings you along the farm road and wraps around the hill and rejoins the main track so you can get to the top and then stick to the main track for your descent. Amazing views with sheep and cows to get up close too, fresh air, close to nature, stunning views, always does the heart good!

Excellent walk up the Papamoa Hills in a well maintained path. Great views from the top. About a 90 min steady round trip from the new car park. Toilets available

Spending some time in the Bay of Plenty Region? While out near Te Puke, just off State Highway 2, be sure to take an hour or so to stretch your legs and see the region from a whole new perspective. There are many inviting benches along the way so you may rest and enjoy the views. The pictures say it better than I can, but fail to capture the beauty of the bird song, chattering of insects or the refreshing breezes that caress the summit.
There is an ample car park and a clean public toilet facility at the entrance. Sorry dog lovers- canines not welcome.

Not far from Tauranga central. There's a car park, and you can run or walk the steep hills to begin with. It's quite cold so either run up to stay warm or wear an extra piece of clothing.
The paths are really good for kids, as they're wide with plenty of space and flat.
It's not that far to the top but it's quite steep.

This is a regular walking destination for us. A few different track options, and a good uphill to start your blood pumping. Great views from the top by the trig station. Easy for kids to manage too....although I wouldn't guarantee it'll always be a complaint-free walk!

This walk enables you to see the Mount and further south down towards Whakatane than you. can see from the Mount. We did this walk as a family of all ages from children to grand parents.

A hard steep walk if you not used to it, but many awesome views. We did 2/3s of it and were more than happy with that. Great exercise, great views

Countdown, the warehouse paper shops, shoe and watch repairs, sports shop plus cafes and other eateries. A handy place to visit.

They have recently chopped all of the trees down, which I was dead against! But walking up here over the past few weeks has been an absolutely delightful experience! It's a must, the view at the top is amazing. Parking is way better than the Mount and the toilets are great! And there are some chickens that have made this place there home. Lovely.
