Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I ate here twice during my stay in Ubon. The food is beautiful and plenty to pick from. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere is good.

All of the yummie local food venders gather here every night from dusk til late night. By the day It's an empty space near Thung Sri Meung in the middle of the city. By night, It become my eating heaven, cheap but delicious. Wide range of foods; local, noodles, vietnanese, rice combination, stir friy, Pad Thai, smoothie, desert, etc. To imagine, it's an open-air huge food cort with variety of food.
What I love to eat most are "Khao Kreap Pak Mor Yuan" (Call "Bánh cuốn" in vietnameese), seasoned pork & chive filling wrapped in freshly-steamed rice batter. Soft and silky texture with tasty dipping sauce. Also, the dessert Roti, tailor to your choice of filling & topping. It's renowed the best roti in Ubon, I beleive that because I love to eat this roti so much.
It's a must if you love to try local food everywhere you go.

We actually call it ‘ Talad Toe Rung’ in Thai. It is a local night market which set for local people. It has been in this location for more than 10 years. This one is not a ‘set up’ night market for foreigners just like any other cities. The good things are the price is super cheap as a local price, the foods are the foods that everyone eats so the taste are authentic taste for locals. Con is sometime it is difficult for foreigners to order but try pointing it or use your mobile app to translate or ask people around there to help you. You can order, tell the seller where your table is and wait there, finish your eat and pay later but for your convenience, I suggest to pay once they come to serve you. The price is between 30-80 THB pet dishes. I would recommend to try Spring rolls ( fried, not fried), Nam-Nuang, Kuay Jab ( Ubon’s noodle) , Pak Mor Yuan ( fried egg with filling inside), Pak Mor Thai ( fresh steamed rice pastry with filling inside) etc.

Only food stalls here now. Ate dinner here 3 nights (close to hotels)—inexpensive and delicious! The Vietnamese egg crepes, fried and rice paper-wrapped spring rolls, and other dishes were excellent, and it was easy and fun to sit at the small tables and benches and eat among the local families. The sauces alone will bring you back. It’s a lovely city park to visit in the daytime too.

On weekday evenings, about sundown, this vacant space comes alive with the typical upcountry food-oriented night market.
Many dishes are prepared to order, others are prepared in advance. The latter include cut fruit, which is wrapped for take-away. And also the "sushi" that one finds at such markets. If you haven't seen such stuff, look closely. Wrapped in seaweed - check. Rice and something else inside the wrappings - check. Something resembling fish roe covering everything so you can't see what's inside - check. The tiniest miniature pieces that you've ever seen - check. Price 5 baht each, often 12 pieces for 55 baht in a foam box that barely holds those 12 pieces. Not my favourite, but many locals love these, and they can go fast.
If you are staying in a hotel in the area, this is a good place to eat. If you don't want to eat here every evening, you can always buy for take-away. Drinks and snacks are also available at an adjacent 7-11. ATMs are also nearby if additional shopping (see below) means you need more cash.
On Friday evening, two streets adjacent to this night market are blocked off and converted to a walking street. (Don't know about Saturday or Sunday, as I was gone from the area by then.) Vendors selling dry goods (clothing, phones and accessories, etc.) set up shop. I am advised that prices for such stuff are often best in Bangkok, as much of the manufacturing of the materials sold at such markets is done in the greater Bangkok area. However, some of the prices at this particular market were pretty good. Get your Ubon Ratchathani T-shirts here!

Make sure you try some of the different types of food on offer at the market , I used to just walk by and not bother trying but during my previous visit and this one I tried chicken and pork kebabs, rice fish cake, and a very refreshing drink made from flowers ( sorry I've forgotten the name of it but there are a few stalls that sell it ) all the food is cooked to order and very inexpensive, there are also lots of choices for clothes, shoes, tshirts, trinkets etc well worth a look around

One of the best Night Market we've seen in Asia : only (or almost only) thai people, and the street food is very good.
