We did a freedom kayak but we were well set up with a map and route where we would see the best wee views and potentially see some marine life! Was such a cool experience. These guys were great at helping us get into the water, and super easy to deal with. Wicked area, wicked people. Thanks so much

Fantastic day out. Sailed out to Whale island on a very nice Catamaran then lauched the Kayaks off the yacht at the island. Weather was perfect so we paddled right around the island and finished up with a lovely swim at hot water bay. Kenny was a great guide and was a fountain of knowledge about the island. Highly recommend this tour.

We loved the freedom kayaking! The Ohiwa Harbour is a real paradise and with the extensive knowledge and assistance of Kenny and his team, it was an unforgettable experience both times! We'll be back, for sure! :)

We had a fantastic Labour Weekend experience kayaking in the beautiful Ohiwa Harbour today. Helen was our guide and Kenny the organiser and facilitator: Helen is fantastic with children and new paddlers alike. She was very patient, kind and knowledgable; able to anticipate our needs and adjust plans on the water according to the conditions and the tiredness factor of youngest paddler. Morning tea was excellent! This kayaking experience is suitable for virtually everyone. Our daughter is 8 and a first-time paddler; I am an out-of-shape non-exercising working mum and first-time paddler and my oldest son is 21, pretty fit and has paddled several times: really diverse set of abilities but we all had a great day on the water. The location is stunning and the people are really fantastic. Don't hesitate - give this a go. This was a really enjoyable and memorable day. Tip: don't forget to apply sunscreen to ALL exposed areas including ankles and feet! Snug sunhat and sunglasses also highly recommended as this area is big on sunshine.
