Avo of goodness: 3 Hour Chilled out Sail

Our afternoon trip departs the beach at 1:45pm and returns at 4:45pm.

Plan to sail around the beautiful coastline on Fully Charged and visit local iconic locations, setting anchor for half an hour at Cathedral Cove. Either relax on the boat, or have a swim or snorkel in the marine reserve with the amazing fish life.

Your trip includes a complementary chilled local beer or New Zealand wine along with some smoked local seafood.

Every trip is different. Help to sail or sit back on our comfy beanbags, soak up the scenery and relax.

Using wind power as opposed to engines and fuel allows us to take guests out with minimal impact on the environment.

A quirky, occasionally 'slapstick-humour-based' park with almost everything water themed that you can imagine. Some genuinely fun rides (our kids loved the ET Flying Bikes, even though one of them was broken), and some slightly terrifying that might not pass muster with the H&S experts (the advanced level flying fox). The two border collies (or 'boarder' as the website says) are there to greet guests, and there's plenty to do. This would be ideal for pre-teenage kids in particular - older kids might find parts of it a bit naff.

We visited in October 2020. My younger son had seen the sign and wanted to take a look - which we did with a little scepticism. However 3 hours later, we were very pleased that we stopped. The place is quirky, educating and provided us with much laughter. Well worth the small entrance fee and would visit again!

Went with grandchildren. Ages 4 and 2. They had a ball. We were there for 4 hours. Had a picnic too. Water slide was great for the kids but not effective for us adults. Swimming hole was very refreshing. Friendly reception. Great choice of ice cream. I would highly recommend this activity.

My daughter (17) and I were staying in Whitianga and saw this place on a brochure. The drive there was a little hairy. The road is 24km (from Whitianga) of gravel, narrow and windy road. My little Toyota coped. What a quirky and fun little delight this was. Little kids and their parents will love it. Pack a lunch (or use the cafe) and enjoy. Get wet if you want but no need to. Clean facilities and the most beautiful 3 legged fur baby met us at the car.

Awesome day out for interactive experience with a fun theme based around water. Something for all ages. Bring a picnic lunch or relax with coffee and high quality food in the cafe. Bring swimmers to cool off in the waterhole.
