Your train driver will entertain you with the story of Barry Brickell and how this amazing place came to be, as your tram winds its way up to the EyeFull Tower lookout, traveling through a native forest of regenerating kauri, rimu and ferns.
Hear how pottery has played an important role in creating Driving Creek and of our work to return the Driving Creek property to pre-European times as we travel over large viaducts, through tunnels and reversing points.

Driving Creek Zipline was amazing, thanks to Summer and Angus for a fun time, we felt very safe and in good hands, its also important that this is a charitable trust and the money we pay goes into looking after the environment. We highly recommend you visit them

We have done this tour years ago but enjoyed it the second time round just as much. Good commentary from the train driver as we went along and plenty of photo opportunities. Great views from the Eyefull Tower as it was a lovely sunny day. Very enjoyable.

Staying at Whitianga and having a spare day, we decided to book a trip on the railway (bought the ticket online) and take the short trip up to Coromandel Town. Having a little time before the 3:45pm departure we walked the short 5 min trail to the goldmine and wildlife sanctuary through the bush track and then looked through some of the small selection of local pottery works. The train ride was excellent and at $74 for two of us for 1 hr and 15 mins return ride, we thought this was ok value as it's a unique piece of local history, and Russell our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, accommodating and at the Eyeful Tower gave a great rundown on some of the history as well as the guided info talk on the way up. The only downside for us, was the shop closed just before we left on the train, so no refreshments.…
