Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This large lake got its present shape after a huge flood in 1170. The fact people removed peat from the surroundings causing 'inklinking" (subsidence) contributed to its permanent existence. Nowadays it is very popular for watersports and fishing. Most development is along its Western shoreline near the villages of Akersloot and Uitgeest.

I live a few hundred meters from Alkmaarder lake , on the West side there is a trail that leads you through the polder to the lake.A lot of birds come here to feed and to rest specialy in Spring and Summer. When I was a kid I learned to go sailing here . The lake has a smal island where you can go with a motorboat or sailing boat. On the West and Southside of the lake there are Off-ramps for the boats and also small harbours with good restaurants. The polders around the lake are beautiful.

Alkmaardermeer is a large lake south of Alkmaar ;just east of the small village of Akersloot. The natural area's bordering the lake are home to some interesting waterbirds who live among the reeds and in the swampy area's.A favorite area for water-sports and swimming ,though in my oppinion not as scenic as the lakes near Vinkeveen and Loosdrecht were there is more woodland and vegetation.

Always having a good time at Alkmaardermeer. Few great places to eat and drink. If you like fishing, you can find some great fishing spots here as well for pike.

We cycled along the Alkmaarder lake. There are many boats on the lake and you can see many birds on the lake and the meadows around it. On the Red bench you have a beautiful view over the lake.
