Guardamar del serra's beautiful town hall on the plaza de constitucion in the center of town. The benches around the town hall are good to use for a short rest while enjoying the impressive building. At the same time, there are also quite a few cafeterias around with a view of the building, if you prefer that.

The City Hall is a nice building but is not special. The water feature is nice. Seats around allow the weary traveller to rest in the shade. There a number of coffee shops in the square to enjoy. There is a tourist office also in the square which you may find useful.

Just a Town Hall - on one corner is a cafe/bar which is very popular with older Spanish people. on the right as facing the Town Hall is the Tourist Office. Well worth a visit. ip - Top TAsk if there are any local tours planned - you may be suprised.

Guardamar Del Segura is probably one of the nicest places within the Alicante Province. Unlike it's neighbour, Torrevieja, Guardamar Council cares about what gets built and where, and ensure plans are in keeping with its surroundings, making Guardamar a carefully thought out residential and tourism town, whilst respecting its fantastic historic sites. Beautiful clean beaches, excellent parks and the ideal historic town for real Spanish culture at its best.

Very relaxing scenery. Would highly recommend visiting the stalls on the promenade to the beach which open 8pm to 1am. Breathtaking views. Great food. Gluten free and vegan options available in most restaurants. Jimoncence icecream parlour the best ice cream with a wide choice. If u cross over to the other side of the road and walk on down the street there is loads of restaurants which you can eat your dinner outside. And they all open late from 6pm. Mexican italian spanish american chinese pizzeria. Such a wide selection.

Grab an ice cream, kick back, relax and observe. See how calm and easy going life is in Guardamar. It's not a must see but it's nice. Well worth the sit-down.

A relaxing town with sun, sea, plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee houses.
We come here every year and the place improves every time we visit.
The beaches are fabulous and the sea is warm in late summer. If you do not venture outside the town you do not need a car as it is easy to walk everywhere. There is a market in the town every Wednesday and a night market most days.
If you want to venture outside the town then it is an ideal place to base yourselves.
Cycling to nearby villages is also enjoyable on the tracks either side of the river as it is almost flat and this makes it easy to cycle.
To sum up we will keep visiting and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the UK.

Perfect meeting place as everyone knows it. Has a couple of nice bars here too and just up from the beach.

The town hall is just like any other building in the town. Not very impressive. Such a shame there is nothing to see in the city except for the beautiful sea.

Having been in guardamar quite a few times over the last month & driven & walked past City Hall I thought I better say something about it..
Well, with quite a grand staircase up Into the building, one gets the impression that this place has 'some prestige'...
I didn't get to go inside, so so I will have to rely on the reviews of those who have!!

Hi Julian Could you please recommend a place to stay in Guardamar please? We have stayed in towns north of Alicante, eg San Juan and El Campello and are lokking for somewhere new away from the maddening crowd and Guadamar seems ideal
