Compared to French castles, this is rather small, but it gives nice views from the surroundings. It costs 3 euros each to visit the pirates museum, but for what you got its worth it and helps them supporting this landmark.

We were in for under an hour, because it closed earlier than we expected it to, but enjoyed it nonetheless! Parking is not great, so maybe go later in the afternoon like we did. It is a castle, built for defence, on the top of...More

This museum tells the story of Lanzarotes history of pirates and the need to defend itself from pirate invasion. The position of the fortress provides great views essential for defending against aggressors.

Museum of pirates in one of the islands fortresses. The exposition itself is great for children - they will like the comic like illustrations and ship models. For the adults you have the view from the top of the fortress, you can easily see why...More

The Castle and museum are well worth a visit. Parking is up by the castle wall so not too much hill climbing. Kids will find the pirate museum fascinating, (as did we).
