Oversized bronze sculpture on the edge of the sand next to the informaton building depicting in 3d an earlier painting faithfully. Very much a personal choice.

A great beach sculpture marking the memory of the sinking of four trawlers which killed 152 fisherman in 1947. It depicts the widows and orphans of the lost fishermen. It is an original and memorable monument near the tourist information office.

Ancient monument to check out near Porto in Matosinhos. For some it may be weird looking but the craftsmanship (for those who like to observe that type of thing) is quite extraordinary.

Cast in memory of the sinking of four trawlers which killed 152 fishermen in 1947, this monument is a tribute to the orphans and widows whose faces show the angst of their loss. The sculpture also offers a vivid reminder of the respect the ocean...More
