Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful part of the country to both drive through and walk, ambling through the towns is so different to the busy towns in Northern Italy, beautiful area.

This is a gorgeous place for a gentle wander and there are great views of the surrounding area. All whitewashed, cool and peaceful.

We made a nice trip in the "Valle d' Itria" to explore the historic town centres and the beautifully restored "trulli". Unique in the world!

The whole area is completely different from the rest of Italy. The Trulli, the heart of this region are the most dominant architectural features you will see. Definitely an area to visit

A confusing restaurant. Ordered one dish, got delivered another and attitude was we needed to accept it. No explanation just told to 'wait a moment', 15 minutes later original order arrived with no apology or further information. Veal was tough and chewy, meatballs were ok but nothing special.
Bland atmosphere, had to ask for the TV to be turned off as it was loud and distracting!

Amazing hilltop views of the surrounding countryside are seen from the beautiful little plaza outside the church. Stroll among the narrow streets of the old town to get a sense of Italy at its best!
Stop for coffee & enjoy the people watching.

Cisternino well worth a visit - this town has many many good restaurants for evening dining, a choice of good cafes for snacks during the day and good local shops selling all the authentic local produce you could want. As usual the roads into the town are a little chaotic but parking is easy. In April when we were there it was noticeable that the locals thought it was a little chilly - around 20c and they all had their coats on - we were in T shirts and shorts...and we were the only English people around. Very friendly town.

The old city of Cisternino is both amazing and unforgettable through its wonderful atmosphere, great views of the Itria Valley below, cute old buildings and very friendly people.
