One of the prettiest churches in the Var region. The murals painted on the inside are simple but captivating. As an amateur photographer this church never fails to disappoint and this is my third visit to Sanary. Three times a week on Wednesday, Friday and...More

Third visit to Sanary and this church was top of my list to re-visit, the people are very welcoming and the modern frescoes of Eastern tradition are just fantastic. It's open night and day to visitors plus you can drop in to a service. This...More

Lovely little church that was restored in 2000, with beautiful Orthodox Christian inspired Frescoes. The bell tower can be seen from sea and houses an ancient bell from 1734. Worth stopping in to visit.

When you walk through the doors you'll be surprised at the interior design, structure and frescos. Definately worth stopping by for a look-see (and a prayer).

Spectacular Christian Iconography. Beautiful Catholic Church in the centre of Sanary. Great to see a church that depicts these ancient Christian frescos.

This relatively small church is filled with good quality religious frescos and certainly worth a visit.

A beautifully decorated church right in the centre of town, fairly recent frescoes all around the church make it very appealing and welcoming to enter. Really pleased to see it open and well used even at night during the summer evening street market.

The church is very nice, but what I really liked was the outdoor Stations of the Cross path up the far side of the harbor cliff. At the top is a chapel that marks the spot where a hermit lived. He would blow a trumpet...More
