Enjoy outdoor hot pools, ice skating & snow tubing in winter & dare to ride the new 11 metre high - 53 metre long TRIPPO water slide in summer. There is also an artificial summer tube. Enjoy a treatment at the Day Spa or relax in our fully licensed cafe onsite.

Tekapo Springs is an absolute must when visiting the Mackenzie Country. The facilities are very clean tidy and the change rooms are very warm! Pools are spread out and create a very relaxing environment. There is also an area for the kids to play in....More

$18 value for money. Cafe available too. Plenty of people & music. You can hire a little penguins as a frame for the little ones & some bigger frames for the adults that haven't got the balance yet. Wrap up warm & have fun

3 of us visited there to hop into hot pools under this freezing weather. Walking in was pleasant enough. The female staff was really friendly and helpful. But there was only limited choice of using the pools. We understood that though, because it was a...More

Friendly staff on reception and at hot spring sites. Lifeguards very easy going and the place is tolerant to children playing in pools. Less selection of pools than Hamner Spring but there is ice rink on site that is really children friendly. Our kids enjoyed...More

We love the pools and activities when we come here but waiting 50mins for some toasted sandwiches, a bowl of fries and wedges is ridiculous. No update on our order or apology from the staff. Other people around us asking about their order of fries....More

This is a great venue with variety for all the family. BUT a 45 minute wait for 2 bowls of fries and toasted sandwiches when only 2 bowls of fries came out before ours was more than disappointing. No customer follow up to let us...More

On a recent visit to Tekapo we decided to spend some of the afternoon at the hot springs. We reccommend you experience this unique attraction. Its not a huge commercial operation but big enough to allow everbody some space to sit back and relax in...More

We went to the hot pools in the evening in the snow. The quality of the welcome at reception was good - clear advice and an easily understood pricing structure. Towels can be hired for $5 and a $20 refundable deposit. The changing facilities and...More

Such a shame, the location and set-up is fantastic. Hot pools were relaxing and really improved set-up for families. Unfortunately, ordering a meal after soaking in the hot pools was a palaver. We waited over 30mins for quick snacks. It was clear, after they served...More

Is it real spring warm water? Or just heated by machine or in other ways?

Is it required to book beforehand online or is it safe just to show up and tickets will be available? (cause I'm not sure exactly which day I will make it, so don't want to book yet?)

Absolutely no need, unless your a larger party in which case some heads-up might be appriciated. It's a large pooling area so space isn't really a problem anyway :)
