Tekapo Star Gazing combines the two top attractions in Tekapo. The wonderful southern night sky and the relaxing hot pools. This is a totally unique experience that will help you explore, excite and entertain as we introduce you to the World's largest International Dark Sky reserve (Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve) which spans over 4300sq kilometers. After exploring the Dark Sky Reserve with our talented guides and looking through powerful large telescopes, let us help you relax with a soak in our famous hot pools with relaxing music and floating hammocks. Tours are capped at 30 people per tour to allow a personal individual approach. Private tours available for small groups at request.

Short star tour. Learned a couple of star signs rest was common knowledge. Telescopes just looked at clusters and couldnt be touched. A matter of seconds at each scope. Hot pools at end were pleasant and had a good tour guide in William

The star gazing was nothing magical like made out to be. The hot pools are nice but not worth the $89. Really wanted to enjoy this but just left feeling ripped off.More

Was ok. Not sure if it was worth nearly $300 though for the family. Hot pools can be done during the day, but it was nice to be in them at night. Star gazing was ok, not exactly enthralling though. Paid for towels online when...More

Although the sky was not really clear that night but there was a planetarium & stars presentation to us which is funny. Following by a nice hit spring treat at a winter nightthat was really really comfortable & amazing.
