Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fabulous destination .. one of Taranaki's best .. this Cafe and Gallery is a Must Do .. each room is a destination in itself with it's own unique art collection and private dining experience .. excellent Food, Coffee & Gin .. Art by local Artists changes every few weeks so always something new.
After lunch it's on to Percy Thompson Gallery in Prospero Place for the latest Art exhibition there.

My girlfriend and I visited today and decided to do the Gin tasting at $35pp. What a great experience it turned out to be! Stuart was an excellent host and explained the meaning and contents of his Gins.Stuart is great story teller of why each Gin contains each of its ingredients and its method of distilling, plus explaining the plants, people and places behind each Gin. Visit you won’t be disappointed!

This Cafe is a gallery where you can find many interesting things. Each room has tables to sit and at the back is a Gin destillery (they sell Gin and Vodka too). They have delicious cabinet food and good coffee.

This was a great find ... lovely friendly spot.
An art gallery, coffee & cake if you need.
But also a wonderful Gin distillery and tasting place. Lovely gins. Got shown around the distillery and told the story of how/when & how it all came about. A super spot to visit

We were given very vague information on how to find this cafe-art gallery-gin distillery. It took a bit of finding but it was well worth persevering. The ambience is superb, the food cooked on site delicious. I recommend the kumara, cashew and coconut soup. My husband loved his roast vege and beef hot pot with added pale ale. The cafe was busy but the staff coped well. The walls are adorned with fabulous New Zealand art, some by local artitsts. Definitely deserves many return visits. Only downside was no credit cards accepted. We would have bought some artworks if it had been available. Purchasers expect to be able to use credit cards.

Delighted to have made this coffee stop while driving from New Plymouth to Whanganui - as the other reviews say, this is a brilliant conjunction of art, coffee, & spirits. Only sorry I didn't have more time to linger today, but it's now on the radar for a more leisurely return visit!
