This is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours with the kids. Good not only for adults but a cool place for kids too.Educational. Nice pleasant walk by the canal too on a nice day. Cafe and little who are ok

Right on the canal where I spend many hours with pals in the 60s, the museum is very interestimg with reproductions of rooms, shops etc from times gone by. Good selection of local interest books in the shop too. Have a walk along the canal...More

Very interesting covering industrial history of the local area well worth a visit. There are also canal boat rides during the summer and pleasant walks along the canal side

I enjoyed our visit to this small museum. The houses and shops on display reminded us of our homes 70 years ago. The ancient history of Thameside was imaginately potrayed in the exhibits.

Yes,you can park at the front or the street at the side,guess it all depends on the day & time you go?..

You walk towards ashton centre from the police station and then you should see the sign post. It's not very far
