The beach is just off the promenade and their is plenty to do. There is a comprehensive free car park to the rear of the beach and the approach is not too busy.

Fantastic beach which is clean and although busy, it is spacious. Great for kids. Lovely views of the Medes Islands. Great cafes nearby. Restaurants are a little expensive and for the British traveller many places the waiters did not speak English.

Concur with lots of the other reviews here, the beach is lovely but the wind can whip across the bay carrying, sand with it. Lovely to swim in the med with the islands in the distance. We've been able to get a decent space close...More

The beach at l’Estartit is a huge thing between the marina on the left and the river Ter. Not interesting, noisy, and crowded. The only reason why you would end up having an afternoon on the beach here, is you couldn’t park the car anywhere...More

Love this beach so much, we return year after year. We are on our sixth year now and it is still Fab. The staff working the shades and beds as well as Sanchez beach bar are just amazing... Look no further, L'Estartit for me!

Nice beach, free parking on the beach (not on the strip, serious fines and a nightmare to pay them!) but a nice beach. Just be careful of the onshore wind especially in the afternoons as it can get strong and can whip the fine sand...More

The beach of l’Estartit is broad and sandy. That gives you the opportunity to also play football or volleyball. Once you go into the sea, it’s also not deep and only sand on the bottom. No rocks. You can walk/swim for at least 60 meters...More

Great big sandy beach with plenty of space even in August. Can get a bit windy but there are lots of little bars to hide in with a drink or snack whilst it calms down. safe with children as doesnt get deep quickly.
