It has good English tour, nice guide, nice palace, interesting history, good toilets, fair prices. It also has a good location in the center of town.

We visited Palazzo Piccolomini, the 15th Century designed summer palace of Pope Pius and found it to be a fairly short and interesting tour. The audio guide was easy to understand and offered just enough details. The view from the gardens and upstairs balcony were...More

The Palazzio was the summer home of Pius ll and built in the 15th century. The tour is by audiophone and you are shown into each room by a guide. The tour is very worth the money in my opinion and each room is filled...More

Please take time after your visit to the Palazzo to see this gem of a shop. There are some very interesting and probably hard-to-find books of the history of this region as well as unusual items created by local artisans. You won't be disappointed. Even...More

You could miss it as it’s next to church and hasn’t got an imposing entrance. But do go and see it. Do take the audio tour otherwise it’s going to be a bit light on information. It’s on the basic side but there is enough...More

This small palace must have one of the best views in the world from its loggia. The tours are accompanied with multi-lingual handsets giving you the guided element. Its a must if you're in this area.

The guided visit although short, 30 minutes, was well worth the Eur7 including the audio guide. Lovely rooms with antique furniture. Then you can visit the small garden with amazing views of the Val d'Orcia.

When you are in Pienza, the Piccolomini Palace is a must. Just to see the original bedroom of a 15th century pope including his comfortable seat (where he left the contents of his intestines) is indespensible... Fine views from the Loggia
