Amazing park, very beautiful and well attended, most of the animals had big cages and they seemed very happy, others in not much big cages. I was very disappointed as online ticket price seemed to be 245.000 rupias while when we went there they told us that because we were foreigners we had to pay 400.000 rupias! Except from the expensive entrance, if you wanted to feed the animals you had to pay extra 250.000 rupias per person, which the official site didn't mention at all! To use the indoor train to go from the entrance of the zoo to the panda shuttle bus again you had to pay! We were furious as with the 400.000 rupias we paid per person we couldn't interact or feed the animals and of course the official page of the zoo doesn't mention nothing of the extra charges. The employees were all very kind and helpful but no one speaks English there which was a huge problem for us. Amazing park inside the jungle and the pandas were great but very dissatisfied due to the above.

First time coming back to the zoo after a few years. I am confident to say that the zoo is probably one of the best in south east asia region. Especially in the terms of the amount of animals and how well they are taken care of. The animals look healthy and friendly. There is so much to see in the zoo. I highly recommend this place to families and couples to visit on weekdays as the traffic wont be as much. The place is very much car oriented could get really busy on the weekend

Safari it's a wonderful place to visit. From Jakarta it's takes around 2,5hours driving.
Before arrive in safari park, it's a must to buy carrots and bananas for feeding the animals buy as much as u can for them.
When we enter the safari, we will start by safari journey by seeing animals from the car. We can feed them also (bananas or carrots).

After the safari journey next find the good spot for parking and visit the baby zoo. Anyway, there is also kangguru and Lamur that we can see on baby zoo.

There is alot of animals we can see at safari. We can visit reptile house and met with the Komodo dragon, going to see penguin at penguin house, primate and many more. But the most interesting is visit panda. We'll going to see panda with the bus provide by safari to the top and see the giant panda there. There is two giant pandas (couple).

In safari also there is alot of animal show that we can watch. The popular show was cowboy show and also dolphin. And for kids, alot of rides for them also.
All is already include in one ticket. And don't forget also to visit the the water fall (Curug Jaksa". Its so tired to walk to the water fall. But it's really good adventure.

Visit safari in the day time will be better since the traffic jam will be less than weekend. And also not busy inside so it would be better.

For meals do not worry. Alot of options for food. Food court, coffee shop, fast food, food court. We can choose because alot of options for eat.

Nice park in beautiful surroundings. It’s possible to visit the park without a car ….but it’s difficult and takes time. It’s ridiculous that the price for foreigners is 100 % more !
As we did not have a car …a small bus drove us around the safari. Ice cold airco and a woman talking to loud about the animals we saw left and right. Was more that we wanted to drive trough as soon as possible.
The bird caves ( where you can walk ) is the best part.

Taman Safari is an all day+ experience (you will not see everything in one day)

There is plenty to see and do, but it is best not to come during peak times of the year. You get the Safari, Zoo, rides and attractions for a decent price.

The animals appear well cared for (and no, they do not drug the alpha predators) and you can cuddle a serval, pet a wallaby, hand feed a red panda and have a lemur sit on your shoulder whilst pulling your hair :P

The weather is cooler and wetter than the lowlands, so bring an umbrella and a jacket

The food choices are many and varied......you certainly won't go hungry.

My only advice is NOT to visit on holidays. You will certainly be stuck in dense traffic to, in and going home from Taman Safari.... Weekdays are best.

We went there on our familirazation trip while staying in Jakarta. It was around 2hrs drive depending on trafic conditions. Safari park was beautiful and animal were kept quiet close to the nature. Good efforts were put to create habitats according to the animals need and nature. Lot of oppertunity to interact with animals directly by feeding them or passing by on safari vehicle. Baby zoo and shows going around were of interest. Restaurants are good there with international and local cusiens. Keep you energy good as you have to walk a lot to explore it at your own. Activity is good in group and with family.

Visited Taman Safari Bogor with family last month. Was concerned if it would be good plan or not but glad we went. It’s a superb safari, with all animal walking freely. It has animals from deer, Rhino, Panda to White tiger. Carry enough carrots as animals likes to eat there and you will enjoy feeding them. You don’t need to step out of car and that’s wonderful. All in all must visit in Indonesia and highly recommended. It’s also quite scenic near panda.

To Tell you the truth : Taman safari Indonesia is the finest example/ model to all zoos around the world how animals must be treated, kept and cared in captivity. Personally i hate the idea of the zoo as the idea of animals behind bars is totally wrong, and i`ve been to the best in wold such as Singapore Zoo or Teirgartevn Vienna. In Tanam safari animals roam free, have VAST areas to live and recreate, well fed, well groomed and 100% loved by the personnel and visitors. The only disturbance is some ( rare) idiots who start knocking on the glass vitrins to attract the attention of the animals....PEOPLE, do not do it, please!
I visit Taman safari always with bright heart and open soul, i embrace totally the educational ideas that these parks carry, i hope you`ll not regret to have a look too.
My personal experience is all about Taman safari Cisarua and i`m trying right now to put my thought in correct order to compose a full review.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The safari itself consists of two sections; the Trail and the Grounds.
In the Trail you go with your car ( and in your car, stepping out is prohibited), and ( wild) animals roam freely - on the roads, on the curbs, in the lagoons, brooks and crevices that you pass by. Herbivorous and carnivorous are, of course, divided by sections. You are allowed to FEED animals form your car window in herbivorous section, with carnivorous you have to keep your windows shut, and can only watch and take pictures.
At the park entrance do not forget to load your car with carrots, banana, apples and other veggie staff that zebras, lamas, antelopes, elephants, monkeys, giraffes would love to taste from your own hand.
In the Ground - you are free to leave your vehicle and explore the rest of the park on your feet - aviary, baby zoo, animal shows, crocodile den, snake section, komodo island, penguin sanctuary and primates kingdom. Swimming pool, carousels, cable car, food court and waterfall are all in Ground too. Right now three unique adventures are available: elephant ride through the Trail, poo paper making class and swim with the dolphins.
And the biggest news at the very end! Two beautiful heavenly pandas – Jin Hu and Fei Jun -are on the way to Taman safari Cisarua and coming soon. This is the important indication of utmost respect between China and Indonesia and gesture of good will, positivity and progressive thinking. I personally guarantee that Taman Safari will be the best home for pandas in Indonesia and i`ll be in the first rank of panda-greeters on our Indonesian soil and HUG my beauties with my warmest embrace.
I hope you`ll enjoy the Safari as much as I do, every single visit through the past 20 years.
Regards

Schonefeld

P.S. only two small drawbacks - toilet cleanness/ quality is poor, and food on the site is a disaster ( better bring your own lunch pack).

I went to this safari and I regret it so much. If someone love animals shouldnt force tigers, leopards and small lion cubs to be pet all the time. People is quequing to embrace small lion cubs who do not want to stay there without their mother. And the guy working there is forcing the animal with a stick to stay calm in the arm of some tourist until the picture is taken. And then the next tourism will come. This is very cruel, on the way there you will find small children on the street selling carrots to give to the animals who are all toghether , they just come to the car and you can feed them. People throwing chips and rubbish to the animals who cant do anything except stay there and suffer the presence of children shouting and screaming at them. It is horrible, if someone love animals should watch them run in their natural habitat not drag them into their arms. Imagine yourself forced to stay in one place for the all day, with a rope on your neck and people hugging you all day. Is it safe?is it healthy? I think it's the most disgusting and sad cruelty I have ever seen.
Shame on this park.

Most of the wild animals where drugged, to much big animals in a small area. I felt kinda sad for them. Plus the traffic might be even worse than Jakarta. I would not recommend it..
