Lovely tidy grounds with real racetrack (cars), separate go carting track, small car museum and Cafe. Friendly staff. We only toured the museum, specifically interested in the formula one cars. Watched a Porsche and Ferrari run the race track. There were lots of nice places to sit outside and watch the cars. Udrives were on the expensive side, so decided not to do it this trip. Go carts were booked out for the day, so would suggest booking ahead if you want to do either.

Enjoyed our second visit to Highlands Motorsport Park in December 2019. Just had to make a return visit after our first, which was an absolute blast. Looked after superbly by Paula, Mikaela, and Damo throughout the day, which became two actually. First up, karting with my two adult boys (finishing order not to be discussed), followed with a bog lap around the track in the fast taxi, a hot lap in a Ferrari for second son who missed out last time, a museum tour then our absolute highlight, driving a Radical - for me and my two sons. These cars really go, and sound the part too. Expert tutoring from Damo enabled us to really have a crack. Six laps each turned out to be not enough so we backed up later in the week for another eight! A petrol heads delight. Great stuff Highlands Motorsport Park. See you next time.

We went out with a couple of overseas friends in the Porsche Cayenne taxi. A fantastic experience - first lap was sedate with a lot of information on the track and facilities whereas the second lap was fantastically quick. Thanks Damon for a great time which our friends loved. The museum is also a great place for petrol heads with a lot of KIwi history. Well worth the visit

Looking for excitement in the area & came across Highland Motorsport park. My wife & I did the GoCart 2x race special & had a blast. Staff are friendly & helpful & down to earth. Carts are great & great track layout. Great cafe ( not overly priced) & museum. P.s Don’t forget to check out the toilet block 😉 Would highly recommend Highlands Motorsport park for all ages. Get after it…..!!!

Visited the museum which was good. We visited with my mother in law who is disabled. We tried to go to the “loo with a view” which was blocked off via a chain? The only way to get there was down some stairs. I asked at the cafe how we get there and was told they had “other” toilets for the disabled. Not sure why they installed a chain which means the disabled can’t get in to view the attraction? I thought this was terrible!!

Immaculate grounds and friendly staff made for a great couple of hours watching a steady stream of different cars take to the racetrack. We opted for a lap in a Ferrari and two rounds of go karts for our teenage daughter . A cafe provides excellent views of the course . The museum was very interesting.

Excellent museum. Tony has a fantastic array of cars and the history of NZ Motorsport well documented. The 488GTB hot lap was great. VR in the museum was a good insight also.

Visited the museum and cafe.
Staff were extremely good and knowledgeable. Entry was free due to being fully vaccinated which was outstanding.
Range of vehicles were very well displayed and the coffee was very good as well.
Thanks.

What an incredible adrenaline rushing experience at Highland Motorsport Park. Starting off with Go karts, taxi, Udrive and Hot lap, something I never thought in my wildest dreams I would ever get to experience! 🏎️🏁
Also a Museum of collectable cars, the Delorean being my favourite (because of Back to the Future)! So much information!
Delicious food for lunch 😋
And the team at Highlands were all so very welcoming, friendly and supportive throughout the whole experience!
I can't forget, the Loo's with a view, such incredible imagination has gone into this, just WOW!!! 😲🚽🪞🪟
I would definitely do this again!
Thankyou to all the team at Highlands Motorsport Park for creating this extraordinary experience.

We visited this Motorsport raceway and it was well worth it. Great collection of race vehicles and memorabilia. Some of us paid to and race the karts while the others had a go at the flying fox. We all enjoyed our walk around the complex and a bite to eat and a cuppa.. Great novelty photo props to take pictures for the album. Well worth the visit with lots of options to ride in different vehicles around the track or just walk around and take in the displays.

Hi, just wondering how to get from our accommodation in Queenstown to this complex as we do not have a hire car. Thank you.
Written 28 July 2018
We had a rental car too. It is an hour or two drive to the park and it is a beautiful drive too. On the way back we stopped for wine and cheese tasting at Gibbston. If you can do the same, it would be awesome. I am not sure if there are bus tours (there must be)

Are you open on the 31/12/2017 or the 1/1/2018? If yes what is the opening hours? We are travelling as a family and have 4 adults and 1 kid (6yo) in our group, can we all fit in the ''taxi''?
Written 12 April 2017
HI There,
We are open both days - in fact the only day we are not open is Christmas Day. Our operating hours are 10 - 5pm. The Taxi can fit up to four people at a time. You can do two taxi's and have three in one and two in the next one! I'd recommend booking, you can call Highlands on 03 4454052 and we can lock it all in for you. We look forward to welcoming you to Highlands!

Hi MKunzmann,
Our Jurassic Safari tour is best suited for families, with children 10 years and under. It is a 50minute experience, exploring the forest of large scale animals on display, with accompanying commentary from a guide. It even includes noises that are associated with the animals on display. The children will have the opportunity to play in the adventure playground when they reach the forest area and get up close and personal with the large prehistoric animals on display. The price is only $99 per family (2 adults and up to 3 children). This price also includes FREE entry into the National Motorsport Museum, and access to our mini golf and balance bikes for under 6 year olds. We look forward to welcoming you to Highlands one day soon! Kind regards, Fleur Casey

Hi David, i'm looking at buying an experience for my fathers birthday - can i ask which experience you chose?
Written 25 October 2016
Hope it's not too late but the McLaren would be amazing
Written 22 November 2016
Yes $25 per adult, half price if you do another attraction - I highly recommend the Porsche Cayenne lap for $120 total - ie if you have 4 people it's only $30pp.
