It is a fascinating place to see and has a very nice Cafe and Gift shop. The problem is the prices are a little ridiculous for what you get. Need to knock about $10 off the entry fee anf then you would really have something....More

Hi Gary. We sure are proud of our living history. Not sure if you paid the $25 admission and went forth to spend the full 2 hours here, including the 1 hour fully guided tour?? Thank you for your feedback nonetheless.

Just stopped here on the way through from Cromwell. Plenty of parking on the highway side of the river then you cross a bridge over the river (Kawarau Gorge) and from there you can see how they transported materials across the river before the bridge...More
