This was not an activity I thought I would enjoy - boy was I wrong! We had a great day making our knives from forging and hammering a lump of steel to fitting the brass and wooden handle. Steven and Robyn were helpful and patient

Such a great day, recommend to all ages! There is some down time during the knife making process, where you can learn to throw axes or go on a massive swing.

My 13 year old son had wanted to do this for years and was not disappointed. I just had to turn up at the end for drinks and nibbles and collect his amazing knife... he really loved it and would definitely recommend it :)

Hi there, yes, fly down to CHCH, then either fly to Hokitika, drive over, or catch the transalpine train, depending on your time frame. Hope to see you sometime soon! cheers Robyn
