This is a wonderful way to spend your time in Geiranger when your cruise ship is docked. Once you've seen as much of the fjord as you like and you've taken in some shopping, hike up to the octagonal church via a marvelous stairway that...More

You will see plenty of waterfalls as travel around Norway and while this is not high it is, in July, a raging torrent. Easy flat walk from Geiranger shopping area before metal staircase of a few hundred steps to top of falls. Alternatively you can...More

This is a powerful waterfall and series of rapids and is easily reached from the waterfront in Geiranger. Approaching from the bottom there is a series of steps that take you to the top with the sounds of the water in your ears and great...More

Wednesday 5th September and we visited the wonderful spectacle of this powerful waterfall. There are 2 ways to approach the Fosservandring, firstly by a series of steps, over 300 hundred, which starts a short walk from the Port and Town. We approached it from the...More

The noise and power of this waterfall is mind blowing. The walk from Gerainger up 300+ steps is a fabulous way to see it. We enjoyed our time here very much.

We walked up to the Fossevandring from the Port. There are a lot of steps to climb, but as we are reasonably fit it didn't cause us a problem - and you can always stop and admire the cascading water while you catch your breath....More

Somebody in Geiranger had a GREAT idea: to build an elevated walkway that trails all along a thundering, rushing, cascading waterfall as it flows through the Geiranger valley down to the fjord. Brilliant! The deafening roar of the water, the rainbows caught by the mix...More

The better part of the hike was above the visitor center across the little bridge and up to a cafe, very steep, amazing views from the top.

We walked up the stairs to the top of the waterfall and it was really worth it. You can also get a bus to the top but really needs to be seen

We stayed at Geiranger camping and watch the tourists going up and down the waterfall so we figured what the heck, lets climb the stairs. The stairs climb along the waterfall and it is about 300 steps. It is accessible and you don't need to...More

Yes. Once on land, you walk to the Geiranger camping, over a small bridge, then turn left. You will see and hear the waterfall. You climb along the waterfall by stairs and the Fjord museum is at to top of the stairs.
