Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful experience, home and burial place of Saint Padre Pio, canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II. He was famous for the gift of stigmata which he received in 1918.

Saints bear the burden of becoming unreal in the popular imagination. This could be very true for Saint Padre Pio. I was so relieved to find a real person in this museum. While everything possible was preserved from his life, even some IV bottles, what emerged was the portrait of a real person, who lived and served heroically and truly deserves the title of saint. Check out the room with all the letters - truly astonishing!

Padre Pio Sanctuary has everything that he used throughout his life. Even a mug with coffee stains from the day he died. It is amazing what you feel when you entered his church where they keep his body exposed in a Glass coffin. His face is still so perfect. His room, has his bed, his oxygen tank, literally everything that belonged to him. Who visits his museum will never forget it and will feel as close to him as you can be. Amazing. It is a must in San Giovanni Rotondo!
