It was interesting to see the remains of "La Donna di Ostuni" who lived over 25,000 years ago and was pregnant at the time of her death. Otherwise, the museum is very tiny.

Go here rather than an other church. I shall remember seeing the fossilized bones of this 25,000 year old mother and near-term fetus long after I've forgotten that all the explanations were in Italian only. The museum is worth a quick visit to see the...More

There are some very interesting items in this collection, especially the remains of the pre-historic mother and child. But it is a work in progress -- they are undertaking a major renovation and installing lots of modern exhibits. For the moment, it isn't worth more...More

Lonely Planet says free but we had to pay 5 euros each and nothing is in English so waste of time unless you can speak Italian. 'Tour' finishes with a wax work in a cave? Hmm. Learnt nothing of the area

it is hidden in the main church cathedral at th e top of th e main walkway but badly signposted you don't realise its a museum also
