After a 1/2 day visit to the Mercedes Benz Museum, Esslingen Castle looked to be just a short distance away so we decided to check out this sweet looking town with a castle. First tip: the Metro stop for the town is Esslingen (Neckar). Just...More
Soothing place to spend your evening. With the castle tower and nearby garden providing a perfect picnic spot, this is one of the must visit place in Esslingen. Don't miss the view of the cathedral and old rathaus from here.
After 10 minutes climbing on the old steps. You could see the panoramic view of this beautiful town Esslingen. And also choose another small track down back to the city. It has no steps but can be closer to Hi the wine grapes.

Esslinger Burg is great place where we can see Esslinger valley and Nakar River. Its nice to see how they build Burg. Even Wine ward looks nice too. What i don't like the most that lots of empty bottle left over.

I fell in love with Esslingen and even more when I had a gorgeous view of it and its vineyards when taking the steps up, We visited early December and the Chriskindlmarkt below looked so cool from above..
We bussed it up to this defence castle. You can walk up the steep steps from the town or through the vineyards. We had bern walking around town all morning and felt the bus ride would keep us happier.
Well worth the trip up.
We visited the burg after a hearty breakfast ad we certainly needed it.
It's a good climb up to the burg and walking the wall involves lots of steps.
There are good views to be had.
There's a cafe but it wasn't open while we...More
