Luckily, a friend who moved to Paris 40 years ago suggested if we wanted a true Provence market experience, skip the one in Aix and go to the weekly market in Lourmarin. Everything was laid out so beautifully, it was as pretty as the Impressionist...More

We ran into a couple of markets during our stay in the Provence, some of them small, some bigger and pittoresque, but the Lourmarin market proved to be the biggest and interesting of them all. Clearly this is a touristic item, but also the local...More

We went to Lourmarin's Tuesday evening market, (5:30 - 8:30), and found it nice and small with lots of fruits, vegetables and meats. Nothing like the Friday in town market, but if you're just looking for local produce, etc., this one will do and it's...More

Lourmarin is a beautiful town and it's market is in my opinion better than many others such as Gordes, Apt and Forcalquier, probably only St Remy is better, as per other reviews, please dont think you are getting a bargain, often foods are twice the...More

A good market with fine mix of food and souvenir stalls. Gets very crowded so arrive early. As with most of the tourist markets, everything is more expensive than you think, so no bargains to be had. But for all that, a very enjoyable market

We visited on a Friday market day, arriving later than planned which meant driving around to find a parking place since the area was jammed packed with cars. Once we got to the market, it was great fun to wander and see the offerings- really...More

Probably the best market in the area. We travelled from Cabrières-d’Avignon through Bonnieux and then over the mountains to Loumarin. It is a spectacular drive, although a bit tight in spots. That said it’s a wonderful view and highly recommended. The Loumarin town was very...More

Been to Loumarin a couple of times and always on market day. It's a beautiful town with great character and some lovely cafes/bars to people watch from. The market is one of the nicer ones in the area, good quality food, clothes and crafts and...More

What an experience!! Everything is colored, full of live, fresh products, local producers, flavors at every step. A cozy and friendly Provencal market. You can buy local products: vegetables, cheese, charcuterie, bread, olives, seasonal fruits, spices, eggs, olive oil or fresh meat. Go early in...More
